DO NOT MAIL/DO NOT CALL CODING
Marketers in the United States are becoming more sensitive to consumers' privacy concerns. Many households do not wish to receive unsolicited direct mailings and/or telemarketing calls. Governmental regulation has entered the world of direct marketing and has issued various regulations governing the types of marketing efforts that are permissible.
DMA Database
The Direct Marketing Association, (http://www.the-dma.org), maintains a direct mail database of United States addresses that prefer NOT to receive unsolicited direct mail. Enertex Marketing subscribes to this DMA database and can use the database to suppress names and addresses from direct mail efforts.
National Do Not Call Registry
The U.S. Federal government maintains a database of consumers that do not wish to receive unsolicited telemarketing calls. It is estimated in the winter of 2006, that approximately 76 percent of all adult households in the U.S. have registered their telephone number at the site: https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx.
Enertex has access to this database and uses this file to code or flag patrons who have indicated that they prefer not to receive telemarketing or telefundraising calls. This is yet another service that will make your campaign more effective.
