PRIZM CLUSTER CODE APPENDING

PRIZM is a demographic/psychographic-clustering product developed by Claritas, Inc. The word PRIZM is an acronym for Potential Rating Index by Zip Market.

Cluster Group Demographics

PRIZM was developed by Claritas as a system to segment the United States population into a number of unique "cluster groups." Currently, there are 66 individual cluster groupings with such evocative nicknames as Blue Blood Estates and Gray Power. PRIZM cluster codes are assigned at the Zip+4 geographic level.

Enertex Marketing is a licensed partner of Claritas and utilizes PRIZM to assist nonprofit clients to sell tickets and memberships and to raise money.

The two principal PRIZM products are: the rental of PRIZM coded demographic names and PRIZM cluster code appending to client databases.

Enertex Marketing maintains the Experian Corporation database at its main office facility in New York City. The Experian demographic database has been appended with PRIZM cluster codes. Enertex clients can rent PRIZM cluster coded names for their direct marketing efforts.

PRIZM Database Analysis

Enertex also can access the proprietary software required to PRIZM code append a client's database. Through this appending and analysis, Enertex can prepare summary reports reflecting the composition of a database from the unique PRIZM perspective. Direct marketing recommendations are developed from this study.
